Waimak United 2024 Head Coach - Men's CPL

The Waimak United Club and Board are pleased to announce our Men’s CPL Head Coach for 2024, Brad Eiffe.

Brad brings a lot of experience and knowledge to this role, along with an abundance of passion for the Club. We are looking forward to watching the teams progress in 2024. We spoke with Brad about his new role, and this is what he had to say.

"I’m excited to take on the role of Waimak United CPL Head Coach for 2024. I’m really confident about the depth of the players we have, and the possibilities on where they can take their football too. The players coming through are young and show a lot of potential, and combine this with our experienced players, and my experience of the CPL League, I hope to help bring out the best in each individual player and push them all to the next level.

The Mainland CPL League is one of the most difficult Leagues to be a part of, because any team can win on the day, it doesn’t matter how the team sheet reads. We will need to be consistent, have a huge work ethic, and build a culture where each player that takes the park wears the Waimak Badge with pride.

We have some really talented Youth Players who will be pushing for Senior selection throughout the 2024 season, which has the club in a great position, moving forward.

I want to bring this squad into the Club as leaders and players our younger members look up to. The squad will be more connected with our Masters, Seniors, Youth and Junior Teams and Members will have a Senior Team they will strive to be part of, and I want to see our members wanting to be part of our game days!

I would like to thank Mike De Bono for his time with the 2023 Men’s squad, and even though results didn’t always show on the scoreboard, I feel it was a successful season in so many ways, and I am looking forward to building on from his great work. I wish him all the very best in his new role.

I look forward to announcing the rest of Coaching Team in due course. There are certainly some exciting times ahead!
