U9 FESTIVAL 2025
Waimak United Football Club – U9 Festival
The Waimak United FC U9 Festival is a fantastic opportunity for young players to participate in a friendly and fun-filled football competition. For many, it will be their first experience in a festival environment.
This event is open to U9 Mainland Teams and In-House Mini Football Teams from all clubs.
The festival will be hosted over two days at the beginning of the Term 3 school holidays and will feature two competitive tiers, ensuring teams of all skill levels can enjoy the experience.
Tier 1 - Teams playing in the Mainland Leagues - Divisions 1 - 6 or from outside Canterbury on application.
Tier 2 - Teams playing in the Mainland Leagues Divisions - From Division 7, and Club In-House Programme Teams.
Teams from outside Canterbury will need to apply to the Tournament Director - gm@waimakunited.org.nz.
PLAYER AGES - UPDATED 28/07/25
Players must be turning 8 or 9 in 2025. If players turn 10 in October, November, or December 2025, they will need an age dispensation, and proof of age will be required.
We understand this may be disappointing for some teams. If you would like to request a dispensation, please don’t hesitate to contact us at gm@waimakunited.org.nz.
Thank you for your understanding.
Dispensations requests will be considered, and decisions given to the Club/Team asap.
Guest Players must meet the age requirements without any dispensation.
DATES: Saturday 20th September to Sunday 21st September 2025
PLACE: Kendall Park, Island Road, Kaiapoi
COST: $400.00 + GST per team
ENTRIES CLOSE: 1st September 2025. No late entries accepted. Tier A & Tier B will be restricted to 16 Teams in each Tier.
