What is TDP?

The TDP stands for Talent Development Programme which is the premier league for 13th to 17 grade Boys Youth football here in the Mainland Football region.

These have been labeled Talent Centres through the club licensing that has been in place for a number of years although we as a club will instead use the term TDP to describe the player development programme we deliver in these teams . All Licenced Clubs and also clubs who meet required standards within certain age groups can compete in the TDP division from 2022.

Waimak United have TDP teams in 13th , 14th, 15th and 17th grade as we meet all the coaching and facilities standards required.

Our TDP programme runs for 30 weeks and will see players selected into these squads based on the suitability, in terms of ability , attitude and potential. Players selected for the CUDL will receive the following;

  • Highly qualified coaching team (B or C Licensed Coach)
  • 3 training sessions per week
  • Game time playing in the top youth division
  • Age appropriate strength and conditioning training
  • All training and home games on the turf at Kendall Park
  • All home game filmed - providing parents and players the chance to watch match footage at home
  • Off the field personal development inc workshops on rest and recovery, nutrition and hydration, injury prevention, leadership and mentoring
  • Develop the character around our 5 club values - be confident, respectful, adaptable, hardworking and humble

We are proud to be one of the most affordable clubs in Canterbury with our TDP annual fees is $610 (early bird fee), or $630 (standard fee) per player, with payment options available.

Our state of the art Turf facility as well as the new $30 million MainPower stadium in Rangiora which is where our TDP strength and conditioning programmes will take place, we feel our TDP programme from 2022 will set excellent standards in youth development.
