This is an opportunity for experienced and new players to play football over the summer (Terms 1 & 4) in a social semi competitive environment.  Schools enter directly into this competition.  Contact your school to see if they are entering.  If they don't and you would like to manage this for your school email

The competition will begin on Monday 28th February 2022, and runs for 6 weeks,

finishing on Monday 4th April 2022. 

Subject to entries, games will be played between 3:40pm and 6.15pm

with three kick off times (3:40pm, 4:30pm and 5:20pm). Red Traffic light gatherings restrictions are in place, and a new format will be constructed to ensure we are meeting requirements.

Games will be held at Maria Andrews Park in Rangiora.

There will be 4 sections as follows:

Year 0, 1 & 2 – playing 5-a-side, max of 8 players per team – ½ junior pitch

Year 2 & 3– playing 5-a-side, max of 8 players per team – ½ junior pitch

Year 3 & 4 – playing 7-a-side, max of 10 players per team – junior pitch

Year 4, 5 & 6 – playing 7-a-side, max of 10 players per team – junior pitch

Entry fees for 2021 per team:

Year 0,1,2 teams $115     Year 0,1,2 teams $115           

Year 3,4 teams $140      Year 4-6 teams $140                     

Schools will be invoiced in the first 2 weeks of the competition.

  • Players are asked to wear shin pads as these are compulsory under FIFA laws.
  • We will have prize packs up for grabs for winning teams in each grade.
  • Each team will require a manager to co-ordinate the team. 
  • An email address and contact mobile number for this person would be helpful to ensure updates to draws or cancellations are communicated with teams.
  • We will again have the support of our WUFC youth players to referee matches.
