Waimak United Football Club is pleased to advise that we will be running our very popular schools football competition in Term Four of 2010.
The competition will begin on Monday 1st November, and run for 6 weeks, finishing on Monday 6th December. Games will be played between 4pm and 6:30pm with three kick off times (4pm, 4:45pm and 5:30pm)
Games will be held at Maria Andrews Park in Rangiora.
There will be 3 sections as follows: Year 0, 1 & 2 – playing 5-a-side, max of 8 players per team – ½ junior pitch Year 3, 4, & 5 – playing 7-a-side, max of 10 players per team – junior pitch Year 6, 7, & 8 – playing 9-a-side, max of 12 players per team – intermediate pitch
In order to maintain fun and competitive games for all teams please identify “A” teams so that we can place them in the same section.
The entry fee will remain $10 per player. We would appreciate schools collecting this money up front and sending in the total amount, with a list of players in each team. Players are also asked to wear shin pads as these are compulsory under FIFA laws.
Once again we will have prizepacks up for grabs for winning schools to support football and sport in your school. Waimak United Football will also give all schools entering this terms competition 6 pairs of basic shinpads that can be used for players who don’t have any.
Each team will require a manager to co-ordinate the team. An email address and contact mobile number for this person would be helpful to ensure updates to draws or cancellations are communicated with teams.
We will again have the support of our WUFC youth players to referee matches. We look forward to receiving your entries.
