Duty Teams
Each club team playing in the local District Leagues (Junior All Whites - 10th grade) will be rostered as a duty team for ONE hour on a Saturday before or after their home game.
Each team will be rostered on approximately once every 4 - 6 weeks, and will be required to provide 3 - 4 parents for each duty. Therefore each family will be required to do 2 - 3 duties per year.
Duty teams are an important part of running your club and it is a requirement of membership that each family in these grades takes their turn. The local competition is run at no cost by North Canterbury and is a convenient introduction to football and in return requires some committment from families at the local parks. Your support ensures we present our parks to the highest standard and the money raised is a significant part of the club revenue, and can be used to enhance the players' football experience.
Each duty team will be responsible for completing tasks such as preparing fields for play by putting out corner flags, putting up dugout covers, setting up and running the sausage sizzle, assisting in the shop if necessary, cleaning up the BBQ, and helping to ensure all field equipment is packed away after junior football.
There will be 4 timeslots:
9:30am - 10:30am - Duty teams from 9th grade
10:30am - 11:30am - Duty teams from 8th grade, and 10th grade
11:30am - 12:30pm - Duty teams from JAW
12:30pm - 1:30pm - Duty teams from 7th grade
A roster will be prepared, initially for the grading rounds of the 7th - 10th grade competition, then a season roster for the remainder of the season.
We thank you for supporting your club.
